As your Thurston County PUD Commissioner, my top priority is ensuring our utility services remain fair, reliable, and affordable for every resident. I am committed to common-sense leadership that protects your hard-earned money while preparing our county for the future.
To achieve this, I will focus on three key initiatives:
Affordability First: Keeping rates reasonable and ensuring transparency in how your utility dollars are spent. Expanding Solar Energy: Adding practical solar resources to our local grid to increase energy independence, diversify our power supply, and improve long-term sustainability. Clean Water Technology: Developing a user-friendly water quality mobile app. This app will allow anyone in Thurston County to instantly check the water quality in their area right from their phone.
With a background in running a local small business and managing complex logistics, I know how to get things done efficiently. I ask for your vote to bring practical solutions, accountability, and modern innovation to our Public Utility District. Together, we can keep Thurston County strong, sustainable, and affordable.

Water connects all of us–to our families, our communities, and the future we leave behind. I have spent twenty years protecting the water and environmental resources that sustain our quality of life, focusing on communities most vulnerable to environmental harm. As climate change and human activity put pressure on our water resources, we must modernize infrastructure with care, strengthen resilience, and protect these resources for future generations.
Affordability – Utility rates have risen over 25% in the past five years, outpacing inflation already in our lives. I will examine every opportunity to increase affordability and reduce the cost of service, including implementing solutions from the recent legislative report on utility affordability.
Accessible and accountable – The PUD has a responsibility to clearly explain its decisions, including how rates are structured and projects prioritized. I will work to enhance PUD accessibility and accountability and support broader efforts to protect our environment and water resources.
I am honored to have the support of our current PUD commissioners, local electeds, and community members who know the importance of this work. Together, we can protect our water, strengthen infrastructure, and keep the PUD accountable to the people it serves. I’d be grateful for your vote.
