I have dedicated my life to serving my community and my country. I graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1991. Following graduation, I served in the United States Navy, assigned to Airwing VAW-116 “Sun Kings” at Naval Air Station Miramar in California. After returning home, I continued my commitment to public safety with three years at the Walla Walla Regional Airport Fire and Security Department. In 1996, I joined the City of Walla Walla Fire Department, where I served as a Firefighter/Paramedic until 2008. In 2008, I transitioned to the Walla Walla Police Department. Over the course of my career, I served as a Patrol Officer, Canine Officer, Sergeant, and ultimately Administrative Sergeant. I retired from law enforcement at the end of 2022. In 2023, I was elected as Walla Walla County Commissioner for District 3. Since taking office, I have worked diligently to serve the citizens of Walla Walla County with integrity, accountability, and a focus on results. I am committed to continuing this service by strengthening partnerships with the City of Walla Walla, the City of College Place, and the Port of Walla Walla. I believe deeply that our community is strongest when we work together.

I am not a politician, as a small business owner, father of seven, grandfather, and a 25-year resident of Walla Walla County who has watched government drift further from the people it is supposed to serve. Elected office was designed as an act of voluntary public service – not a career. Yet here we are, paying over $800,000 annually for eight elected officials while running back-to-back deficits, even as county revenues have grown 152 percent since 2008. Something is broken. My campaign is built on three commitments. First, I will pursue Charter County Reform and bring it to a vote of the residents – replacing our current structure with a professional County Administrator and reducing commissioner compensation, saving taxpayers an estimated $225,000 per year. Second, reduce government overreach – the permit office closes at 3 pm on weekdays and residents need permission to replace their own windows. Third, I commit to a maximum of two terms. I am running to serve, reform, and step aside – exactly how public service was intended to work. I am not running to build a career. I am running because someone has to be willing to fix this. Less government. More freedom. Real results.
