The Capital Projects Levy is a replacement levy that funds essential health, safety, and energy-efficient improvements in our district. This levy does not create a new tax. A YES vote authorizes up to $0.50 per $1,000 of market value through 2032, providing approximately $75,000 per year to maintain and improve our school. This levy failed by one vote in the last election cycle. Please consider a YES vote to support our school. Our school gym floor has settled and is in need of repair. Repairs needed include shoring up the foundation on the NE corner of the building and leveling the gym floor and back/handicap entrance . This levy would fund those repairs and regain full use of the gym facilities for students. Past levy-supported improvements show that the school board is fiscally responsible with your tax dollars. Significant playground upgrades have been completed, including new equipment and a full underground sprinkler system, which uses less water and has nearly eliminated the labor required to manage sprinklers by hand. Additional projects include installing dry wells to stop water entering the basement, revamping the bus lane, and replacing the exterior stairs entering campus. Energy-efficiency improvements include adding attic insulation, installing mini-split heating units, and replacing the building’s boiler. Although the boiler was funded through grant dollars, it remains an important upgrade that strengthens the functionality of our building. Vote YES to support our students, our school, and our community.
