Whitman County Coroner

I am running to serve as your next Whitman County Coroner. I currently work as the Chief Deputy Coroner and have firsthand experience investigating deaths, working alongside law enforcement and medical professionals, and supporting families during difficult and often unexpected circumstances. This position requires professionalism, integrity, and compassion – principles that guide my work each day. I am proud to build on the strong foundation established by Coroner Annie Pillers, whose leadership has helped ensure accountability and high standards in the office. I am committed to continuing that legacy and maintaining the public trust and transparency she has instilled in the office. I’m endorsed by Coroner Annie Pillers for this position. With a background in chemistry and forensic medicine, and Washington state certification as a medicolegal death investigator, I bring both scientific knowledge and practical experience to this role. I have also contributed to our office achieving national accreditation in 2025, reflecting a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. I believe every individual deserves dignity in death, and every family deserves clear, timely, and compassionate communication. As your Coroner I will ensure professional, thorough investigations while serving our community with respect, dedication, and integrity.
